Arrived safely in Iceland

We arrived early this morning in Iceland after a long day of flying. It really was not that long in the air, all things considered, but it was tiring sitting and waiting and all. Both flights were completely full and we did fine but we were ready to get here. We actually arrived nearly an hour early! Our OAT guide was not here because he didn´t expect us to be here yet. Our group seems nice and my suitcase is the average size, there are some even bigger! I am so glad I did not struggle to bring the small one. As it is, I wish I had my other jacket as well. We ate breakfast at the hotel and then we settled into our rooms. We took the hotel shuttle downtown and Jim and I walked back enjoying the views and all. Today is a totally down day but it needs to be as most of us did not sleep at all last night.
The scenery is lovely. the sun can be shining and yet it be misting at the same time. We have views of the ocean from our room and it is fun and really a pretty sight.
I will write more when we have done more. Just wanted you to know we arrived safely and all is well. I did get air sick again. It is becoming a habit that I would like to break. It was just bumpy enough to do me in.

Glad you made is safe and sound! We are packed and ready to leave in an hour. I think I have way too much, like I packed for 21 days instead of 15! Just don't know what the weather will be like. It will be fun to compare our trips. Stay safe! Barb
