Ecuador part 3

Some more photos. After we finished with the work in Santo Domingo, we drove back to Quito and went to the Mama Yoli house, the daycare that has been built by SIFAT teams and local people on the hillside of Quito. It is amazing to see how far it has come in one year! And now they are working on a church that is next to the daycare. The Daycare is ready to open.

We also had one free day to go on a tour and this year we went to the Cloud Forest and took a zipline through the cloud forest. It was a series of 6 ziplines and it was quite an experience. I can now say "been there, done that" as I did it and am glad I did-but don't ever care to do it again!
They had a pig that had been orphaned out in the forest and the daschund dog adopted her and the pig thinks the dog is her mother and is now three times as big and it was a hoot to watch them.
Pictures and words are not enough to explain this trip. It really is a wonderful experience to go, help, meet, get to know people in a totally different culture. It is a very special experience.
