It is late but our bags are packed and ready to fly back to Lima tomorrow. We don't know where anything is since we have had to pack and repack almost daily-for flights to stay under the weight, for leaving the big luggage here while we took an overnight bag to Machu Picchu, now to repack for the flight back to Lima. This is making those extended stay vacations sound very appealing! But Machu Picchu and Cuzco were worth it all. They are so unusual and have so much history and beauty.
We are doing ok with the altitude but we surely feel it. Coming back to Cuzco today we all huffed and puffed the couple of blocks we have to walk to our hotel. They won't let buses of any size on these old streets where the Incan walls stand so we have to meet the bus a block or so over, which is not a problem and it is very neat to be staying in the middle of these old structures.
