After the market, we went to the Alpacca factory where we learned about the different qualities of alpacca and had fun shopping. I got me a sweater and that was all. To me it is all pretty and as warm as it is in Auburn, I can't see it makes much difference for us. Next we went to learn the difference in Alpaccas and Llamas. Next we went to an Inca cave which was very interesting. Ok the most interesting thing that happened was probably when Jim tripped over a rock and fall with great finesse, hitting almost every part of his body. He is lucky in that it does not seem to have affected his back, but his ribs and elbows, knees, cut above the eye, hand, you name it are all hurting tonight. I think we were very lucky it was not worse, but let's hope that is our excitement for the trip! Then we went to the Main Inca site here in Cuzco which is pronounced Saxywoman. After that, we had a home hosted lunch with a lovely family in Cuzco and were able to ask questions about their life and family. We came back to the hotel and rested a bit. Then we headed back to town. We found a nice place to eat dinner and used the ATM and bought Jim a new watch since we know the exact time he fell as it broke his watch! Cuzco is really pretty at night with the lights on and the music playing.
Tomorrow we head to Machu Picchu which is, I think, the thing I am most looking forward to on the trip. So I hope we have nice weather and the energy to enjoy it! It is very true here that if you don't like the weather, wait awhile. Today it was sunny, hot, cloudy, rainy, chilly. So we need to go pack our overnight bag for the one night we spend at Machu Picchu. Then we come back here and pick up the rest of our luggage and spend one night.
